I've had the pleasure *sarcasm* of having tinnitus for many many years. Tinnitus is best described as ringing or buzzing in the ears. You know that annoying beeeeeeeeeeeee sound you hear when you lay down at night? That's her.
Along with tinnitus I also get overstimulated easily. Sounds really agitate me. Screaming kids (hey moms!), too many things happening, loud bass, concerts, etc etc. I get easily bothered and reactive; it's not something I'm ashamed of because I understand that this is partially normal. Let me give you an example, you're home after working x amount of hours, your kids need help with math homework so they're screaming it at you, someone has the TV or tablet on loud, your toddler is screaming and also running, the range hood is going at full speed, the dog is pacing around & now you're upset and yelling for no reason... this is what overstimulation looks like for me.
Now, I know, this isn't the same for everyone. We understand everyone's different and that overstimulation and/or sensory issues appear in different ways and at different times for everyone. However, I'm only telling my small part of a story here.
So, how do I help myself in this? Meet my friend, the loops. Now I have 3 pair. The quiet, the switch, & the experience plus. My favorites are the switch because you can switch to 3 different modes from completely quiet (ear plugs) to reduced noise. They also have some loops for kids, which is amazing for kids with neurodivergence who aren't fans of loud noises!
I want to be transparent here; I bought these looking for a resolution to my tinnitus/overstimulation & ended up loving them so much I have a partnership with them AFTER loving them.
Clicking HERE will give you 15% off your first purchase of loops. I hope you love them as much as I do!
